Hotel Reservations in Stuttgart

Experience the dynamic mix of hills, valleys, vineyards and parks outside your luxury hotel in Stuttgart. In the 'Cradle of the Automobile', Stuttgart is a fascinating blend of German history, industry and culture.

Located an hour from the notorious Black Forest, Stuttgart is Germany's sixth largest city and also one of its warmest.  It was first settled by Romans about two thousand years ago on the banks of the Neckar River.  Visit the Old Castle at the center of Stuttgart for the Wurttemberg State Museum, or the New Palace on the south edge of Schlossplatz for its gorgeous Baroque style.  Don't miss the Wilhelm Palace, which now contains the city library.

Not to be missed is the Ludwigsburg Palace, one of the country's largest Baroque palaces featuring an enormous garden of the same style and three separate museums dedicated to paintings, fashion, and porcelain.  Also of interest is Wilhelmina, Europe's only large combined zoological and botanical garden home to over 8,000 animals and 1,000 different species of plants.  As is common in Germany, barriers between animals and spectators are minimal for those eager to experience a close encounter!

For those wishing to experience arts and entertainment, Stuttgart offers the Schleyerhalle sports arena, regularly showcasing rock and pop concerts by international stars.  Opera, Ballet, and Theater can be enjoyed at the State Theatre, and the world-famous annual Volksfest runs for three weeks in October/November.  Volksfest is an agricultural and beer festival considered second only to Oktoberfest.

And honoring Stuttgart's title of "Cradle of the Automobile", you can enjoy the city's most-visited museum: The Mercedes-Benz Museum, which traces the 125 year history of the legendary automobile brand.
